I am following guidelines issued by the government, NHS and my professional association, the Federation of Holistic Therapists, regarding safe and hygienic practice and the use of any personal protective equipment (PPE).
I have carried out a full risk assessment of my therapy business to reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus (COVID-19).
I have completed a certified infection control course and introduced enhanced cleaning and hygiene procedures to my practice.
Touch is a basic human need, throughout our lives a caring touch is fundamental to our health and sense of well-being.
As an holistic therapist I believe in treating the whole person. My aim is for my clients to leave their session feeling better than when they arrived. Some treatments are stronger than others and it may be 24 hours or so before the client feels the full benefits.
My therapies are to target the physical and – where necessary – the psychological /emotional side of my clients. This is very simple to explain:
Physical Conditions are numerous, from a bloated Abdomen, Arthritis and Asthma right through to Verruccas and Wounds. All these can be treated, improved or alleviated with the use of Massage, Aromatherapy or Reflexology (as appropriate).
Psychological and Emotional Conditions
Psychological and Emotional Conditions are equally numerous and range from Anxiety and Anger through to Worry and here the use of specific Aromatherapy Oils within massage are extremely beneficial.
Most of my clients come to me through word of mouth recommendations and I have treated a wide variety of conditions and complaints from insomnia, post operative oedema, pain associated with arthritis and rheumatism, pre and post event massage for marathon runners… the list is endless and varied.
Aromatherapy is the use of essences of fragrant plants for holistic healing and improving health. These essences are more commonly known as essential oils and are found in herbs, plants, flowers, fruits, bark, roots or resin of some trees.
Reflexology is a science which deals with the principle that there are reflexes in the feet relative to each and every organ, and all parts of the body. Stimulating these reflexes properly can help many health problems in a natural way, just like preventative maintenance.
Remedial massage is a deep tissue massage that helps to create the conditions necessary for the body’s return to optimal health after injury. It is used to treat strains, sprains, recovering broken bones, bruising and any injury where the skin is intact.
For anyone looking to fend off colds and the dreaded flu as the Winter months arrive should seek out a massage therapist for prevention strategies. Regular massages have been shown to help make the immune system stronger, according to studies. Regular therapeutic massage sessions provide significant benefits beyond the obvious and immediate relaxation we enjoy. It…Read More

With Christmas starting earlier and earlier each year and becoming so commercial and more politically correct it seems we are in real danger of forgetting what Christmas is about. We shouldn’t see it as an opportunity to spend money we don’t have on people who don’t think about us the rest of the year. It’s…Read More
